at elective today, teacher asked why must we take care of our parents, as in really, why? the issue is about modern thinking and tradition. he argues that now we are guided by rationale and logical thinking blah blah.. and why should we do so? cos of law, responsibility (the logical reason?) etc? instead, not everything is for this logical thinking thingy esp human relationships/feelings. u can't justify why i like this guy, or if i say i like this guy cos he's rich or handsome, that's my own reason. u can't impose this thinking on everyone and standardise it to some law right. u cant say its right or wrong, simply there's no right or wrong and logic in such matters. u grow up with values, u accept it whether there's a reason or not cos tat's the way u like it. we're engaging in topics that has no clear answers, or rather forcing ourselves to get headaches.
